The prime suspect in the Rafael Mauricio Bardeja Vargas murder case has managed to left the country after being released from custody, according to his lawyer, Irving Cruz Crespo. Judge Reynaldo Ferreiras ruled that Pedro Arizaleta Guilly's arrest had been illegal, since it had taken place without a warrant, not for lack of evidence.
The suspect was being held in the jail at the Palace of Justice in Ciudad Nueva, and as soon as the release order was signed, the prisoner was released. He is known to have fled the country via air.
