Julio Cesar Morales Rosa, a retired member of the military, was brought before the District Attorney of the National District and the Office of Permanent Attention and accused of killing the private assigned to the Presidential Guard, Freddy Saul Felix (Rauddy). The authorities were not able to obtain a remand to custody because the case file had not been completed. Readers will recall that Morales Rosa claimed that he had been a robbery victim, and that a Police patrol appeared quickly on the scene and pursued the alleged assailant and that he later fell from gunshots. It was later discovered that the deceased was a member of the Presidential Guard. According to El Nuevo Diario, the accused now alleges that the victim tried to take is weapon.
