The District Attorney of the National District will open an investigation into the activities of Cristian Casa Blanca, an alleged clairvoyant who "predicts" the winning lottery numbers and who is said to have a long track record of criminal activity. District Attorney Alejandro Moscoso Segarra told Diario Libre reporters that: "We have not been formally given any case against this person, but we will begin an investigation".

On her program last Saturday television journalist Nuria Piera revealed that the self-styled soothsayer's background includes accusations of fraud, sexual abuse, name changes, court cases in Mexico and a large fortune. Cristian Casa Blanca is also listed under the names of Adriano Ronato Salcedo Rosario or Count Dervy, as he was known in Mexico. The Nuria investigation established that there had been a complaint of an alleged swindle involving the sale of a sports car to Juan de Dios Ventura, the son of the popular merengue singer, Johnny Ventura, and that supposedly the car had been sold to two other buyers.
