An analysis of the Barrick gold mine operation in the DR will be presented in Puerto Rico, as part of a lecture by doctoral candidates Circe Niezen and Julia Sagebien. "Gato por liebre? Los hechos y desechos de la minera Barrick en la Republica Dominicana" (A pig in a poke? Known and unknown facts from the Barrick mining operation in the Dominican Republic) can be followed online. The event is scheduled for 3 March from 1 to 3:30pm at the Amphitheatre CRA 108 of Carmen Rivera de Alvarado (CRA) Building, Faculty of the Social Sciences, UPR-RP. Circe Niezen, Ph.D. candidate, Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Puerto Rico - Rio Piedras, and Department of Industrial Engineering, Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
