Outback
This Australian chain is located at the Acropolis Mall.
Sorry, I do not have the phone number or address. But it is on the first floor of the Acropolis Mall.
The service and food were excellent. They open at noon. I do not know what time they close.

Nope! Outback is the only place to get prime rib. . .. but for steak I can think of a bunch of places that have good steaks:
Porter House in santo domingo- haven't been yet but gets rave reviews and all reviews say they are way better than the place that used to be the best steakhouse, david crocketts
David Crocketts - formerly the best steak house in santo domingo
Madera steak house - behind provocon on kennedy in SDQ, good steaks last time I went
Train steak house on Pasteur in gazcue - good steaks as well and a short walk from girl house etc
Asadero argentina - great argentinean steak house. In any argentinean place I get the entrana, which some places call churrasco. . . .very good. They all also have a parilla mixta or mixed grill that 2 people can share
Antonios- also argentinean, also very good
Hard Rock, Tony Romas, game works, champions and fridays can all provide "decent" steaks
I have eaten the imported churrasco at senorial many times and it is very good.
In santiago. . . ..
Kukara Makara has a great churrasco
and the BEST steak I have had in the DR. . .top 5 that I have had ANY where. . . . .Che tango in santiago. . .
Argentinean steak place. . .imported entrana/churrasco over 900 pesos. . .worth every centavo. . . .the last 3 meals I have had in santiago have all been there.
I have bought imported skirt steaks at pricesmart and cooked em at home and www.chefpepper.com.do will deliver imported beef to your home in under an hour!!!! I order their baby backs, skirt steaks, fajitas and burgers quite often. there is also an Omaha Gourmet which is very expensive but carries imported angus beef.
There used to be a good steak place on the way up to camp david but it burned down.
There are also at least 3 maybe 4 brazilian BBQ places in santo domingo. . .
I hope to buy a gas grill in the next few weeks so I can grill at home. I have been using a george foreman grill and I love it but a gas grill is even better. . . . .I know charcoal or wood is even better but I don't have the time.
Of course I can't name any places in Sosua. I have never eaten at El Toro and although I have heard the steaks at quixote's are good. . . .I have never eaten one. . . ..I was on a wings kick while there and I only eat imported beef not dominican beef!
probably the closest thing you will find to a good steak in the DR.

Please don't use Outback & good steak in the same sentence.
If you need to season your meat to make it taste "good" then clearly there is a problem.

BTW Don't mind me, while I do eat almost any beef put before me I do understand the difference between bad/poor/ok/good/fine beef.
To me this is a perfect steak:

Cut off it's head, whipe it's ass, and put it on the table is my motto!
If I go to a fine steak house like Morton's I actually order my steak warm...
As for seasonings, that distracts from the steak imho.

Whatever it says... it can't be good!!!
FWIW Clausurado = "It's closed" and it appears to be by order of the Tax Collector...and no one's allowed in without permission from the TC...
BTW.. I've eaten at Porter House, and just about every famous/great steakhouse in NYC, and Porterhouse is "the real deal". The ambiance and service is excellent, and the steaks, as well as the side dishes and desserts, for that matter, are on par with a good US steakhouse. They have both domestic and imported beef on the menu.... Ive had both and both are very good. And while definitely not cheap, not a bad deal for what you're getting...definitely alot cheaper than Morton's, Ruth's Chris, Smith and Wollensky, etc!
Also...one day I had a serious urge for a "real" hamburger...went to Tony Roma's at the Malecon Center/Hilton. I asked the waiter if it was imported or domestic beef, and he said domestoc...but trust me, you'll like it...well, I ordered it, planning on being disappointed, but was truly satisfied...as good a burger as Ive had in any US chain/theme place. Ive had a few decent burgers in the DR, but they all have the same teexture and flavor... not necessarily bad..but different than the US. So if you're craving a decent burger... at a pretty fair price...go to Tony Roma's...you won't be disappointed :)

Outback is closed because they were evading taxes. They were given a temporary order to close, for 4 days, and never re opened.
We went there the other night for dinner, only to find it closed, so we went upstairs to TGI Friday.
The better half had ribs with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, and I had the hamburger with the same sauce.
We were doing good, until they stuck a lady with 2 (yes 2) nannys and 4 kids.
The kids were totally out of control, the lady could care less, and the nanny didn't get or wasn't allowed to get anything to eat..
We couldn't get out fast enough, but the ribs were really good, especially with the JD sauce.
