The Dominican Navy Chief of Staff says that they are continuing the search for the seaman who has been missing since the Fast Boat Vega (LR-152) capsized in very rough seas on Sunday, according to Hoy newspaper. The Vega disappeared off of Punta Palenque, San Cristobal province, while returning to its base in Las Calderas in Bani. The now-former-Chief-of-Staff, Homero Luis Lajara Sola, reported through his spokesman, Captain Manuel Santiago Diaz Del Orbe that Air Force planes and a US Coast Guard unit are working together in the search for Seaman Jeremias Feliz Perez. The Navy has also launched an investigation into the causes.
