Single permits office at Ministry of Environment

The Department for Environmental Permits (Direccion de Servicios de Autorizaciones Ambientales) motivates the public to visit the single office for securing construction authorizations at the Ministry of Environment. In an interview with El Caribe, the deputy minister in charge of the department, Rosa Urania Abreu said that the department enables anyone interested in building or carrying out an activity that could impact the environment to secure permits in one single office. "This office is the liaison between the government and the citizen." She said it serves as a friend to assist with efficiency with other departments.
