Francis Mejia out of Promipyme

When President Leonel Fernandez appointed Fernando Rosa to replace Francis Mejia as executive director of the governmental small business organization, Promipyme, he may have been reacting to evidence aired by journalist Nuria Piera's TV investigation into corruption. Mejia had access to a guarantee fund that should have been used for small business to governors, senators and government officials with nothing to do with small business, according to Francisco Capellan, president of the board of the Program for the Promotion and Support of Micro, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (Promipyme).
