The National Salary Committee will meet this month to discuss proposed increases to the minimum wage, announced Labor Minister Max Puig. The minimum wage has been in place for two years. A date has not yet been set, though.
El Nuevo Diario says that the Ministry of Labor will also be launching a series of initiatives to address the working conditions of hundreds of women employed in the betting parlors known as "bancas".
