Almeyda hospitalized

Interior and Police Minister Franklin Almeyda has been hospitalized at Clinica Corazones Unidos suffering from endocarditis, a bacterial infection near the heart. Almeyda himself said that the infection could only be fought with powerful antibiotics, which are being administered intravenously. He is reported to in good spirits, says Diario Libre.
