Hi guys.

It usually costs me 900 pesos for a cab ride from the airport to my hotel (either Napolitano or Intercontinental in Santo Domingo).

Do I have to tip him? I usually just give him 1,000 pesos (100 peso tip).

Never tip these guys, its their own cars and they are RICH! Did you know it costs 500,000 to buy the taxi licence?

Hey Jimmy, thanks for the info.

From now on, no more tipping for these guys.

One cab driver told me that he was hungry. I told him that I was NOT hungry. LOL :D

Take care.

I especially do not tip ex pats that work in DR. Anyone that would work for 150 pesos a day has some sort of mental problems.

I don't tip expats either. If they need a tip, they shouldn't be there.
I tip the guy that carries my suitcase up to my room, cos it's fucking heavy.
Other than that I tip girls in bars. That's it. I do not tip prostitutes either.
I have given $$$ to prostitutes because I felt sorry they had to work the street at 16 years old. Didn't use 'em though.......Plus that good samitarian act got Jimmy and me a nice adventure.......
