Cannons to be sold as scrap metal?

The Department of Customs (DGA) has confiscated six colonial era cannons and a wrecked ship anchor that they suspected were intended for sale to a scrap metal exporting company in Santiago. The DGA says that Customs intelligence officers tracked the objects that were being transported on Daihatsu truck L112107. Those transporting the items fled, but driver Juan Jimenez Diaz was arrested in El Ingenio in Santiago, as reported in 7dias.com.do (http://7dias.com.do)
