Do you exchange all of your money at the airport?

Hey guys,

Do you exchange all of your money (dollars for pesos) at the airport?

Since they have better rates than hotels, I usually exchange all of my money at the airport.

I once exchanged $1,000 at the airport and the young guy seemed kind of surprised and exchanged them into pesos for me.

The change places in Sosua have the same rates as the airport.

Unless the rate is REALLY favourable, I would exchange maybe two days worth of cash at the airport, and change on a daily or so need basis (while watching the rate) at cambios in town. Avoid the hotel. They will stick it to you on the rate usually.
