I just got back from a week in Las terrenas with the GF. We loved it. While driving around on our rented quad, we passed a bar that certainly looked like a chica joint. Heading out of puebo de los pescadores, you come to the intersection of the road coming from the cemetery which is one way. As soon as you pass that road you have Ibiza on the left. Small roadside bar with waitresses who I would think may be available even if on a limited freelance basis.

A few buildings later on the right hand side is a "disco" that always had chicas sitting out front daytime and night. The name was "secretos" or something similar. I never stopped in but figured is a guy winds up in Las terrenas and wants an option, this place looks like it.

There is lots of pay for play action in Las Terrenas. Several discos to choose from and the chicas are on the hunt for dinero. I spent two weeks there in March and had no problem finding toto. The nightlife is a bit more diversified than Sosua.

If you like to dance Salsa, this is the best town I've found in the DR. There are two dance studios that teach Salsa on 1 and New York style on 2 as well as Bachata. Most Dominicans dance Salsa backwards with the lead on the mens right foot which is just f--king weird.

The schools in Las Terrenas dance the same way the rest of the world does and there are lots of hot euro chics that just want to dance for the fun of dancing and don't expect a Cerveza or a Baileys just for dancing with them. The scene for the most part is allot more mixed and not so in your face. While that may not work for some of you who like point and click, it suits me just fine!

Also , the beaches in that area are muy bonita.

Thanks P2. I have no DR plans for the near future, but if I did Samana is where I'd be going.

To the outside tip of Samana (Las Galeras) its 4 hours total ,& thats exactly 135 miles from center of Sosua.
Las Tarrenas is on the north & around 100 miles maybe , 3 hours 15 mins should do it. The peninsula of Samana is like 40 miles out, its a lot bigger than it looks on the map. Max speed normally around 45 mph, thats what really holds you back. A lot of Rt 5 is newly paved which is nice, but watch those storm runoff drains on the side of the road, you go into them and you are done.

For those wishing not to drive to Las Terrenas there is a Bus that passes through Sosua at 7:00 in front of the taxi stand. The bus does a daily trip to Samana and back and they will drop you off and pick you up at la bomba (the gas station) on the main hwy in Sanches. 250 DOP. From there you can get a Guagua to Las Terrenas for 60 DOP.

On the way back return to the main hwy by Guagua and he passes by about 2:30 Dominican time, arriving in Sosua about 5:30. His # is 829-916-3041 habla espanol solo.

The dance studios are:

There's something about driving from one spot in DR to another taking longer than MY FUCKING PLANE FLIGHT from NYC that just rubs me the wrong way, maybe its just me.

I'm hoping Santo Domingo to Las Terrenas on that highway is faster than 3 hours.

Brother, that's not the half of it. You have no idea how many hundreds of girls I've passed on, just because they live on the other side of the river!

I've passed on dozens, just because they're from San Cristobal. That's a fucking 20 minute ride from here.

But who wants to drive from the city to San Cristobal, pick up a girl, take her BACK to the city, do whatever, then take her BACK to San Cristobal, then drive BACK to the city again???? What a PITA!!!

Any update about Las Terrenas? Is there still offer p4p even though the fire in pueblo de pescadores and local pubs? How is the scene there, prices , number of girls, availability?

Thanks.

You may need to subscribe to the Trip Reports. It's worth doing so at least for a month or so at $7.

Mrblackluv just posted a recent report from Las Terrenas and it does seem that there is some P4P action there, but also a lot of non-pros that require some work to get with. It's a really good read so far.
