Never heard of them personally but Wiki states Gales is a blues/rock guitarist and Wimbish a hiphop funk metal bassist.

Something different and should be good.

Wimbish was in the black hard rock group Living Colour "Cult of Personality", "Glamour Boys", etc. I saw them live a couple of times when the record was big in 89-90? He's really good.

Nope, I didn't see him with the band. He joined later. He did play on some great hip-hop/funk classics by Grandmaster Flash and The Sugar Hill Gang though. He's really good.

Eric Gales is an exceptional Jazz guitarist. He has many recording gigs in his credentials. Doug Wimbish is a legend among rock bassists. He is so good that he has his own signature bass guitar with Spector Basses. That should be a very interesting concert.

I didn't go as Cabarete beach in the rain ain't a lot of fun.

Last night Cabarete enjoyed the genius of Eric Gales and Doug Winbush and two local heroes JP and Van - man the place was rocking !
I have seen many of The Greats perform live and for me this was the best gig I have ever seen ..and it was here in Cabarete .
Thanks to everyone involved for making it happen - Just blown away ................Still buzzing ..... WOW !

If anyone is interested Gales is also playing Wednesday night at the Sea Horse Ranch beach club.
