Music awards announced

The Ministry of Culture announced that Manuel Tejada has won the Juan Francisco Garcia Chamber Music Award for his composition "Jornada." The jury members were Jacinto Gimbernard, Julio de Windt and Jose Delmonte Peguero. A jury made up of Jorge Taveras, Maridalia Hernandez and Dionny Fernandez decided that Manuel Tejada and Jose Antonio Rodriguez would win the Luis Alberti Danceable Music Award for their composition "Lo nuestro empezo con un beso" (We began with a kiss). The jurors did not make awards for symphony, coral, pop-rock or folk music compositions.
