With 24-hour sports programming, ESPN Dominicana starts broadcasting on 104.5FM and 690AM on 21 June. The radio station can be heard as far as Punta Cana in the east, Pedernales in the southwest, Puerto Plata in the north and Samana in the northeast. Juan Lopez, president of the radio station and in charge of the new programming, said he had worked to get the ESPN franchise for several years before finally securing it. Lopez already owns Disco 106, Fuego 90, Escape, 104.5 and 690AM radio stations.
The Spanish programming includes some of the best sports broadcasters in the country. These include:
Desayuno Deportivo with Jose Luis Mendoza and Orlando Mendez at 6am.
Romeo Gonzalez, Daniel Diaz Alejo and Melvin Jose Bejaran from 9 to 10am.
Grandes en los deportes with Enrique Rojas, Kevin Cabral and Carlos Jose Lugo from 12 to 2pm.
Zona ESPN Deportes with Renato Bermudez, Sebastian Martinez and Jose Francisco Rivera from 2 to 3pm.
Deportivissimo with Bienvenido Rojas, Hector Garcia, Ricky Noboa and Romeo Gonzalez from 3 to 5pm.
La Voz del Fanatico with Odalis Santiago, Roosevelt Comarazamy, Mario Emilio Guerrero and Carlos Alamnzar from 5 to 7pm.
Tiempo de Juego with Dionisio and Armando Solvdevila, Jonathan Abreu and Ricardo Rodriguez from 8 to 10pm.
There will be special programs from 7 to 8pm. On Mondays, Acelerando with Diego Almonte and Diego Campo. On Tuesdays, Fiebre de Golf with Felix Olivo, Wednesday and Friday, Futbol solo Futbol with Jorge Rolando Bauger, Thursdays Girando 18 with Alfredo Nin.
