BC/SD -> Sosua (Using HWY 21 or 25)

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for quickest route by car to Sosua via HWY 1. Can you save time by getting off HWY 1 at La Vega and taking HWY 21 North or by getting off HWY 1 at Santiago and taking HWY 25 North instead of taking HWY 1 to HWY 5 then backtracking through Puerto Plata?

Please keep in mind the time lost to poor road conditions and speed limits.

I usually take the Mountain Road from Santiago to Sosua. Last time we took the highway and it was longer and not worth it. It should take 1 hour and 20 minutes from Santiago to Sosua.

factor in the time of day your driving..

at night don't drive the mountain road.. whihc will get dark quickers as well..

during the day I would recommend the route Santiago and then the mountainroad (prob HWY 25 but I haven't checked)..
