OK, I'm posting a trip report per request. I sincerely hope my report can provide more information than I've found on here. 2 years ago I found ISOC extremely useful, but lately it seems to be a lot of mixed information and folks that get rude/snotty when questions get asked. There are a lot of posts that the DR has changed, not all of us live there - some of us save money to visit and need questions answered so we can maximize our vacations. Therefore I sincerely hope that members will continue to answer ALL questions honestly and be helpful regardless if they feel the question is dumb or not. I and others read posts, and many posts are no longer valid when you say the DR has "cleaned up" or "changed" or when 50% say its dead and 50% say come down and find out for yourself.

Anyway, my TR:

Stayed at the BQ hotel on Avenida Sarasota (a year ago, hoping if the scene is the same). Made ok friends with a driver but wasn't impressed with many of the clubs he took us to. One was in the back of a liquor store with tin foil on the walls - crazy fun but the girsl were ok. Other clubs seemed pricey to me for (the equivalent of $80-$100 a chick asking price).

The street girls on the other hand were stellar. Their asking prices were low, and they had more room to bargain. I'm not keen on bringin girls back to room and having to lock up all my stuff so i did a lot of business by bribing security guards top let us use alleyways and whatnot. Had a blast. Got a lot of alleyway action and BJs.

It is almost difficult to NOT pick up a local, so I did go on a few dates and did get a girlfriend - but i can do shit like that back home. GF's cut into my mongering time lol.

My MO for a couple of weeks was to walk up and down the avenida outside my hotel and pick up street girls.

In my opinion, SD is way better than boca chica in terms of both quality and price. One girl even had a series of customer service questions afterwords for me to grade her performance.

My only real complaint, if you can call it that since it is a solvable problem, is the lack of easy to find action during the day - waiting until it gets dark kills me when I'm in the mood at 1:PM. Other places I've been to have 24 hr low cost mps that are easy to get to.

3.5 years ago, Calle Conde was very good in the daytime.
Lots of good looking, friendly, well dressed young women.
All shapes, sizes and colors.
I don't know about prices though, as I had my would be ex. with me.
I would love to return and find out!
Some of the warmest, sensual looks I have received anywhere I have traveled.

Although not as obvious, there are young ladies you can just be passing on the street sometimes on the Conde, or Ave Independencia or the Malecon in Gazcue in the areas of the casinos, where as you pass a chica and have eye contact with a little convo, you can figure it out if it is a go or not. You would be surprised how often it is a go.

There are also a few places that are open in the afternoon, two that come to mind right off the bat is GBP's which opens at around 2:00 pm and you can have a lady there on premise for 1,000 rd or two chicas for 1,500 hard to beat. Their best ladies actually don't start showing up till about 4:00 pm, but you can find something there that can get rid of that annoying afternoon nut without a problem. Another place that is supposed to be open 24 hrs. but I would guess more likely late mornings is casa modelo which is down the block from the Big University in Santo Domingo, a little expensive in my opinion they want 3,500 rd, but it can help with the nagging afternoon nut, and plus you got some cute college girls working there also available on premise, or I guess you can take out if you like.

Comparatively speaking, indeed it is.

Many, many years ago, the Conde used to be one of the main shopping areas in Santo Domingo(along with Duarte Street), before the malls started popping up.

Kinda like a real time Facebook.

Most of the girls back then had outgoing personalities, and were very approachable. Then again, in those days, seeing a gringo was a big thing.

The Conde is nothing but a shell of what it used to be. But, it still ain't bad for girl watching. But then again, there's TONS of places to girl watch!

there are a ton of clothing and shoe stores for them to shop at
I found that the more the upscale stores were.......
the more they were apt to speak pretty good English too...........

I agree w/ this etc., for Lincoln and Churchill, those streets don't have much foot traffic, plenty of others streets do, on Lincoln and Churchill the chicas are all driving by you in their luxury vehicles.

I might have to check again, guess it depends what part of those avenues, I always preferred, Lope de Vega, Maximo Gomez by the colleges (plenty there) avenues like those. The only place I really liked on Churchill for example was by Churchill and Sarasota, around the Mickey D's there, but then again over there you have the University there, lot of trendy cafes and some trendy shopping spots. The malls on Churchill are a no brainer.

See here you got another guy, Explorador Negro, came down to DR with the intention of spending the first couple of days in la capital, and then heading up to Sosua, but instead, spent his whole vacation right in the capital, probably much of that could be attributed to the fact that besides the putas he also wanted to hang with some non puta chicas, which he was able to do in Santo Domingo, and he has had a long vacation almost 2 weeks.

Just goes to show there are many different ways to do this thing of ours.

There is definitely lots of fun to be had in Santo Domingo. Its just different from the point and click in Sosua. You have to have a bit more strategy and time. Still for the most part you have more variety in the kind of girls, looks and class.

Hurrican Irene interrupted my Sosua beach plans but I stayed in SD for the diversity in action. After a few days in Sosua it becomes routine. In SD there is lots to do as long as you have an agenda, which I did everyday.

So far in SD I have had access to casa girls (2000p-3500p), street walkers (1000p-1500p), semi-pros (1000p-1500p) and regular chicas with full time jobs that made it clear to me they just want to have fun, nothing serious (price of a meal and drinks). Eventhough I had to work a bit more than I would have in Sosua its still been a good experience.

My goal was to hit something new every day. I did that. I was even able to met up everyday with a regular chica for evening fun after she got off work.

The fullness of SD can't be appreciated in a short time vacation. But with the right appearance (I feel like Dominicans are big on what your wearing and how you look right now) its a good time here. Just don't mess it up anymore that it is with that "make it rain" crap that goes on in Sosua.

My friend and I would walk right into campus with mini bottles in our pocket and cups full of ice and go have fun. The best one is the one on the lower part of m.gomez: univesidad tecnologica de santiago.

Then there is the pool hall on jose contreras down the street.

There is one downside.. you gotta check for cedulas you never know when you get a underage clinger

Need some quick advice.

I am staying in Zona Colonial only for 2 nights, arriving this Monday and leaving Wed afternoon. First time in Santo Domingo but an experienced monger many other places. I need some info on a chica friendly hotel in the Zona and where to find the chicas for day game and evening game. Since I am only there for a short time I would prefer to take 2 at a time.
As well local pricing info would be a great help

For chica watching there are many places as it is a large city. It's like saying you want to see girls in NYC. I too like mazima Gomez. There are a couple of eateries/bars on the opposite side of the street from the supermercado (national).

Also there is a new bar, well it's probably 6 months to a year old now, on independencia and alma mata. Around the corner from that bar is a pizza shop and other eateries. You can sit there and drink and watch all the college girls as they arrive to and leave from the university. Plus there's a bus stop across the street with many nice sites.

To me though one of the best spots in the night is the bars on venezuala.

Flying into SDQ and have to get to Metro Bus Station into Sosua.Should I taxe a taxi from airport to Metro or can I take a guagua near airport to(parque central??)and from there take taxi to metro.Trying to save money because staying in DR for couple of months.

It's right down the block from USAD, unfortunately don't know the name of the street that it is on, you can see the main entrance of the University as you enter it, maybe someone else knows exactly the name of the street, but it is only one block from the main entrance on the corner, with a high metal gate.
