Location of bus station in SD

Can someone please let me know where the bus station in SD is located? I plan on taking a bus from BocaChica to Santo Domingo and taking a taxi from then on. Any info from someone who has done this would be helpful.

The bus to santo domingo from Boca is not a caribe tours. It is a gua gua. It will drop you off not really far from el conde or it may drop you off near duarte. Do not do that trip at night if you are a newbie. If you are leaving boca at night get off on the other side of the bridge near avenida venezuela and hail a cab from there.

I had a buddy that left boca at about 8pm and the dopey gua gua drives left him off the last stop alone and immediately three guys started walking right at him. . .. he was gonna get robbed or worse but luckily a cop car came around the corner and the guys kept walking. The cops told him he was nuts to be there alone at night and drove him to a safer area.

I agree with party2 and BCell. It is too dangerous and inconvenient (especially at night).

If you plan to travel with a friend, then I recommend that the two of you rent a car (split the fare half and half).

While driving from Santo Domingo to Boca Chica (and vice versa), you will see many cute girls in the streets. Turn on the A/C and music on, and ask them if they want a ride. :smile:

How much is a cab from the Malecon to Boca Chica?

well, just guessing but...it's $20 from boca chica to the airport and $30 from the airport to Santo Domingo proper. those are the (inflated??) airport rates but no more than $50 and i'd hope a lot less.

it's about a 40 minute or so ride i think and STI to Sosua by the short route is about 90 minutes at, curently, $80. so $30-35 i'd personally accept if pressed but would hope for $25...but i'm a dreamer.

last year i took a van from punta cana airport to higuey. it took about an hour and was $30 or $35 i think.

Friends I went through hell travelling from SD to BC..during Dec18-22. I was in BC and after banging lot of chicks, my oil tank went dry..So I decided to skip morning time action and caught a bus from Boca Chica right behind the park to SD..That bus dropped me at a bus station where I got on to the SD headed bus. The ride was ok. The bus dropped me off at Central Parque Independencia. I walked in Conde for sometime remembering each and every pic of our great Cheeno. I had some beers on a roadside bistro near a dilapidated museum ...watched the crowds etc..After that I had a lunch at KFC and decided to walk on Malecon. It was around 1 pm and fucking hot.. I walked from El Conde to Jaragua Casino.. I entered casino to escape heat and sweating..I made 2000 pesos in casino and hailed a cab back to conde. My troubles stared from here... I assumed I would get the bus from BC right at the spot where they dropped me...But fucking no...There are lot of buses that start from Central Park Area to various places.. Nobody fucking understnds a single word of English and I was told to wait at a corner of gas station...I waited , waited....still no sign of BC bus..Finally I started walking aimlessly and was passing a bank.. and a guy in suit stepped out right at that moment..I asked him in English about bus to BC. He said he did not know but called a guy and asked him and the guy told him that I have to take one of those shitty rickety vans to a bus stop from where I get to buses going to BC. He generously gave him 20 pesos and told him to get me into a van that takes me to the bus stop..It was fucking raining so hard... I got into a rickety van with so many people and water from ceiling.. Finally I was dropped off at a very busy location where I found a bus stop and many buses going to BC..But these buses are not the ones I got on to from BC..These are more like locals with almost all villagers..The conductor of the bus would yell Boca Chica Boca Chica at every possible stop to get more people into the bus. The bus was crammed with people.. A slim chica with 40dd entered bus ...My balls started stirring again...I was frantically waving at her to sit beside me.. She even obliged and was trying to get to me but the stupid villager next to me did not allow her...She got off at Andre..village...I almost decided to get down there and go with her...but lack of spanish knowledge prevented me.. I reached El Caucho and had lot of beers to cool off..and fucked the best lady of my stay on that day.. Here is the warning...If you cannot speak spanish take gua gua from BC to SD..no problem...But while coming back just take a cab..

If you do not mind driving, then I recommend that you rent a car.

I usually rent a car from Alamo. I pay around $50 a day for a Nissan Sentra. My credit card takes care of insurance so I do not pay for it.

Anyway, it sounds like you still had a great time!!! :biggrin:

Thanks Cheeno I certainly did have some fun.. A chica was trying to hit me at the roulette table. I was in no mood as I was not cumming . Your pics about Conde were just great...I was so happy when I saw Conde..I remembered all your pics. I even went to the Internet place you mentioned but I did not see any chicas there. I also tried very hard to find that club you mentioned ( forgot the name) where you engaged the manager lady.. You mentioned that club right next to Napolitano casino..When I went to Jaragua, I wanted to go the back side of it to see Lapsus and other things you mentioned.( bus stop where all the dealer chicas gather) and I started walking in a lane next to Jaragua and after walking for sometime I did not feel safe as there were not many people and I was nowhere near backside of the Casino. My trip in Dec was a first to DR and did not want to take risk of driving.( as per our fellow monger suggestions). But who knows? I might drive on my next visit.

The club with the manager lady (her name is Kirsy) is called Kirsy Bar. I think they open at around 7 or 8pm.

At night, I do not recommend that you walk alone. Sometimes it may be okay. But I recommend that you walk with a friend or take a cab. Better safe than sorry.

Or walk on the Malecon (there are many lights and police cars on this street).
