The Senate has ratified the International Agreement for the Repression of the Financing of Terrorism, which had been signed by the President in 2000, according to Diario Libre. The agreement which was approved unanimously, asserts that any signatory nation will sanction all persons who directly or indirectly give or collect funds with the intention of utilizing those funds to commit acts that would cause the death of people, intimidate the public, or force the government or any organization to do something they would otherwise not do.
