Doctors suspended

Director for the National Council for Resident Medics Pedro Sing said that the decision to suspend the doctors for going on strike was taken because they had not met with their superiors to inform them of their problems. Hoy newspaper reports that the doctors at the Dario Contreras and Moscoso Puello hospitals had gone on strike because according to them they haven't been getting paid on time. Sing denied this claim, saying that he has evidence that the doctors were getting paid on time and that in fact they received a paycheck yesterday.
