I forgot to time myself. I walked. I "think" it took around 25 to 30 minutes by foot.
Would it be safe at night to make the walk from there to Lapsus or Girl's house?

Very good and important question.
I would not. I took a walk at around 11pm. I saw a few policemen at the intersection between Maximo Gomez and Independencia.
Besides that, I met a few guys asking me if I needed a chica or if I had 100 pesos to give them so that they can take a cab home. It was quite annoying.
I met most of the annoying men on the intersection between Pasteur and Independencia Ave.
So to be safe, I would say no.
That's what I thought, It didn't seem llike we went very far in September, but some of the areas looked kind of dodgey.

Wow...that was GREAT...Ive made that walk probably a dozen times...it was really fun to see it in pictures...
Ive walked it several times at night, never felt the slightest bit in danger...but maybe it's not the smartest thing to do...
Also, as you're follwing around that final circle, the park in the middle is Parque Indepencia...nice place to chill for a little while, there's also usually decent art (not the sidewalk crap) all the way around on the wall...
And the place right on the corner on your right as you start up el Conde (I think it's called Naco's or Paco's) is decent and a popular hangout...met a couple of good girls there while waiting for my driver to pick me and some friends up...one was a tiny cutie flakita who I chatted up who didnt have a phone, gave her my number and told her where I was staying (Riazor) she called right when she said she would, about an hour later...and showed up in about 15 minutes...didn't ask for cab fare... gave me a pretty good hour or so and was happy with the 1000 pesos I gave her for her "troubles" ;)

It's funny Cheeno, as I said in the PM, we seem to miss each othyer by a few days or weeks each trip...and we go to all the same places... I definitely hope we wind up there at the same time one of these days!! Not many people like to walk around that much...it's one of my favorite things to do...especially in the Capital...
