The DR1 Daily News digest will not be updated tomorrow, on the occasion of the August 16th Restoration Day holiday. The holiday marks the day Spain returned the government to Dominican control in 1865. Since this year it falls on a Tuesday, it created a long weekend for anyone who could take an extra day off on Monday. Many resort towns across the country are fully booked and people have traveled from the cities to visit friends and relatives in other parts of the country for the break.
