President Leonel Fernandez has promoted seven National Police colonels to the rank of brigadier general and shuffled many in the Police.
By decree 486-11, Fernandez promoted to generals Francisco Romer Francisco Lopez, Juan Francisco Campusano Jimenez, Pablo Almonte Roberto Morales, Luis Perez Sanchez Neivis, Ludwig Suardy Miguel Correa, Orison Olivenca Minaya and Radhames Aquino Robles Reynoso.
Decree 485-11 appointed Major General Siegfried Fernandez Fadul executive director of the Police Social Security Institute, replacing Major General Henry Peralta Jimenez, who in turn was appointed director of Central Support Services in Franklin replacing Brigade General Franklin B.Vittini Duran, who went on to occupy the Internal Affairs Department, replacing General Manuel Castro Castillo. The latter was appointed Eastern Regional Director, based in La Romana, instead of General Victor Hernandez Vasquez, who led the Southeast Regional Office. Colonel Pablo R. Almonte Morales is promoted to Northern Regional Director, based in Puerto Plata.
