Coinciding with the announcement of the confiscation of three important Dominican Republic transshipment drug operations, high-ranking officials of the US Drug Enforcement Agency are meeting in Santo Domingo.
The DEA chiefs from Washington, New York, Miami, Santo Domingo and Haiti are meeting to analyze protocols and mechanisms of assistance against drug trafficking and related crimes carried out by the US Drug Enforcement Agency. The meeting seeks to improve levels of cooperation and equipping offered by the US government to help regional countries tackle organized crime on the island.
