Economist Rolando Guzman has been elected as the new president of the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) for the term September 2011- September 2014. He replaces Miguel J. Escala.
Guzman has an extensive academic and professional track record in government and in the private sector. Guzman is currently the director and coordinator of economic research at the Pareto Consulting Group, dedicated to social, economic and business research.
Guzman is a doctor of Economics, with a masters in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also has a masters in quantitative economics from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and the Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
