A judge in La Altagracia province has ordered a year of preventive custody at the Anamuya Rehabilitation and Correction Center for two men accused of the murder of Wilma Teresa Martinez, who was murdered and decapitated last month. She had recently returned from Switzerland and the motive is said to be theft. Ramon Sabino Romano is accused of cutting off her head, supposedly to prevent her from being identified. Porfirio Baez (El Amarillo), who is said to have burned the victim's body, also received the same sentence. Both Sabino and Baez are claiming innocence, as reported in Hoy.
The body was dumped 50 meters from the El Seibo-Miches road.
Crismeidi Guerrero and her sister are accused of the actual murder.
