SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Health’s Drugs and Pharmacies Agency is warning that as from January, anyone found selling sexual stimulants or any other drugs that require a prescription outside pharmacies will be subject to legal penalties ranging from fines to up to two years in jail.

Agency head David Díaz Guzmán said that a list of prescription drugs was being prepared. He also said that his department was going to limit inappropriate advertising for erectile dysfunction drugs, such as songs with risqué double-entendres, some of which have already been banned.

my parents go south every winter and get 6 months supply of all their meds before they cross the border. never had a problem. but then again they are in their 70's

As to feedback....I find that Viagra does work well, but to many side effects for me....
Lapela seems to work well also...
Cilias works the best for me with no side effects other than a hard-on when I need it..:D

Cilias works on "command" for me.....and it does work well for a few days, but as they say YMMV
Lapela works....but as I said...sometimes it works well and other times really no effect.
Viagra always works well for me...but too many side effects...stuffy nose, flushed face, blue halo around lights.
That being said the best way to take Viagra is not to swallow the pill, but to let the pill dissolve under your tongue. The effects are pretty immediate if you do that. A physician told me that method.

I as well was curious as to what others experienced with Lapela vs Cialis, I thought it was just me but the Lapela does not seem as effective to me, I prefer the real thing. Luckily i am pretty tight with the Lily rep.

I am now 66 and was never much of a stud even when much younger and at my fittest. So as LaPela works every time for me I reckon at 50 pesos it's a bargain. Before I discovered LaPela, both genuine and clone Viagra functioned equally well but left me with headaches and seriously flushed face and neck, whereas I have almost nil ill effects from LaPela if taken sensibly.

You can get anything, but not necessarily all from the same farmacia at the same time. Like any other product in the DR there are occasional shortages of this or that. So don't leave your purchasing to the last minute.

What I've tried, and the result:

Prescription Levitra - so/so, I think it helped, but only for one bonner
Lepela in the DR - no affect, nada, nothing, almost made me think it had opposite affect
Cialis in the DR - better than Prescription Levitra, still not best
Viagra in the DR - The clear winner. Felt like I was 16 again. Worked all night for multiple pops. Even seemed like I had better sensation. No side affects.

I'm still young (37 tomorrow), but I do have some medical conditions that work against me (high blood pressure, diabetes). The key difference between the cialis/levitra/lepella trials in November and the viagra trial in May was that I did almost no drinking whatsover in May, and a drank a bit more beer than usual in November.

Do not buy these drugs in Boca Chica. They are way overpriced. I recommend buying at a pharmacy in Santo Domingo. The pharmacy I like in Santo Domingo is 3 blocks east away from The Jaragua hotel on Ave Independencia. It is located right near the gas station with a big sign that says 10% Descuenta. (discount)

I'm way past that. My PC is female, not much older than me either. I told her I was having problems from a legit medical issue (diabetes/hypertension) and she wrote me a script for Levitra and sent me to a urologist (still have to make that appointment, and tell him I dn't like Levitra). I'm not sure if these pills are the generic Viagra you guys are talking about, but Sildenafil seems to be alright. I got the same headaches and dizzy spells as when using Viagra, but I chalk it up to the price you have to pay for being out there on the frontlines. 120-something pesos for 4 pills of 100mg. each in any Santo Domingo pharmacy.

On the more homeopathic route, I use a supplement from the Vitamin Shoppe called L-Arginine-Ornithine 200mg. and have taken to using more fresh garlic in my recipies, which supposedly increases testosterone. I also take oatmeal mixed with cinnamon and I have noticed that my need for stimulants has vastly decreased.

When I went to the DR last month for 6 days I popped two 50-mg. Sildenafils as soon as I arrived at the airport and funny enough never needed to use any more for the rest of my trip. I put that down to the change of diet which I feel has greatly helped. I usually had to pop two 100mg. Sildenafils DAILY.

The problem is that after 2-3 days of nonstop fucking you just get tired, no matter what shape you're in or how old you are. So you're always gonna need a little help. But I feel this crap about prescriptions is all bogus.

It does'nt matter anyway because I know a guy in SD who can write me prescriptions for whatever I want. I just feel bad for the guys without those connections who may have to pay inflated prices out on the black market and may not be getting the real thing.

Depends on your high blood pressure. I'm borderline (130/80) and take 10 mg per day of Lisinopril (recently got my blood pressure down to 110/70 -UNFUCKINGBELIEABLE) - AND when in the DR I take cailis (like the 48 hour effect) and drink RED BULL.....by god, I get RAGING HARD ONS!

a question for the experts?? how safe is it to take pills from a dominican pharmacy??????? last trip, based on the raves from this site, i took about four lapelas in a 12 hour period with no noticeable effect. i know that caffeine has no effect on me, but come on. the next day i went to a different pharmacy and he was out of lapela so he offered me some blue pills that he said works the same. again i took four in a 12 hour period with no noticeable effect. no headache or stomachache, which i hear are side effects, no change in blood pressure that i noticed. nada. i have to question if the pills were real. speak up experts

a question for the experts?? how safe is it to take pills from a dominican pharmacy??????? last trip, based on the raves from this site, i took about four lapelas in a 12 hour period with no noticeable effect. i know that caffeine has no effect on me, but come on. the next day i went to a different pharmacy and he was out of lapela so he offered me some blue pills that he said works the same. again i took four in a 12 hour period with no noticeable effect. no headache or stomachache, which i hear are side effects, no change in blood pressure that i noticed. nada. i have to question if the pills were real. speak up experts

I think you're flirting with danger taking 4 lapelas in a 12 hr time frame.
According to the mfgr., they are the same strength as the real McCoy, and STRONGLY recommend taking the recommended dosage.

As of today, all of the pharmacies I have visited in the last few days are still selling the ED pills OTC, and do not have any plans of changing.

If you guys want, I'll contact my pharmacy friend and have her give me a list of all the ED drugs and their generic counterparts..

Mrhappy is right taking 4 pills in 24 hours is insane. You could really do some damage to your struddle. You have to remember those drugs don't effect everyone the same. I tried levitra once and it had zero effect on me.

the first time i tool lapela i mistakenly thought they were a low dose version of V. some drunk guy in a bar :) told me to take 2...so i did.:corky: thought my head was going to explode and my heart jump out of my chest! i had MAJOR WOOD for days!:eek::rolleyes::rofl:

now if i even bother i'll tale 1 every 3-4 days max. it seems to have a residual effect on me...lasts a long time but in decreasing effect.

after taking the 2 at a time i "felt" the effect for about a week.last 2 trips i haven't taken any and still manage 4 or 5 times a day:lol:

Some laws just are'nt meant to be enforced. Remember, we make up a very tiny percentage of the people who consume these pills in the DR. If the average dominican was cut off from his supply, the uproar would be enormous. And of course the pharmacutical industry would also be up in arms.

It is already ingrained in their society. Too late to do anything about it, and good for us that they will remain available.

It does'nt matter to me anyway, as I know a doctor who can get me a prescription anytime I want, but I'm sure some asshole would ask me what a dermatologist is doing prescribing LaPela for me.

I had a lot of trouble gettin La Paella the last time I was in the DR . . .

I was about 6 hours on the island 3 or 4 Friday's ago, drinking @ Lou's and EricS said "eat this" . . . I said "OK" . . .

Had one of those "8th grade out of nowhere" woodies @ work that Tuesday . . . it was her fault ! ! !

Been told the LaPela is hard to keep on the shelves because it has the price RD50 on the package so the farmacia can not inflate the prices. The fucking generic cialis in Sosua was going for RD726 for a 2 pack in November. Their generic Viagra "Viga" was RD50 but i do not trust it. It was like taking Motrin on an empty stomack. Burned like hell. I only like the Cialas or LaPela. Lou had some Cialas at the bar cheaper than the farmacia. This next trip i bring my own Cialas.

I never really liked the LaPela that much, prefer the real Cialis, split a 20mg in half every other day and am good to go. Luckily i don't have to pay for it as me and the Lily Pharm.Rep at my job are tight ;-), must say though that both give me some heartburn but usually a few Tums take care of it

Yeah, there all still on display right on the Farmacia counters. I asked, and La Pela costs 50 pesos a pill.
