Award-winning actress and singer Cecilia Garcia stars as Maria Callas in Terrence McNally's Tony-winning Master Class (1995), which depicts the diva reminiscing on the triumphs and tragedies of her life and career. "Master Class" opens on the weekend of 9-11 September at the Sala Ravelo of the National Theater. Book early, as this is sure to be a sell-out.
"This is a drama with many ironies, where the audience will also have many laughs," said Garcia.
The play is directed by Carlos Espinal. Also performing in key roles are Giovanny Cruz (El Tramoyista) and maestro Dante Cucurullo (the pianist).
