A low-pressure front system is forecast to bring rains nationwide today, according to the Weather Office (Onamet). Onamet announced the formation of Tropical Depression 12 located SW of the Cape Verde Islands in Africa. It is too early to forecast if it will affect the island, but forecasters say it is expected to become Tropical Storm Katia today. The storm is tracking westward and is expected to reach the first Caribbean islands by late Friday/early Saturday.
