Fire at La Sirena

A major fire affected the warehouse section of the Multicentro La Sirena on Av. Charles de Gaulle in Santo Domingo East on Sunday. Five units of the Santo Domingo Fire Service worked hard to put out the flames for several hours. Security director of the store, Miguel Zaglul told Diario Libre that they noticed the fire had begun at around 9am after the store had just opened. While damages are estimated in the millions, there were no injuries, as reported.
