The presidential candidates from the country's large and small political parties will sign an agreement with civil society organizations tomorrow in which they pledge to improve education. This political and social agreement will be signed in the auditorium of the Catholic University of Santo Domingo beginning at 9:30 in the morning and continuing until 3:30 in the afternoon. Hipolito Mejia from the PRD will begin the process at 9:30am, followed by Pelegrin Castillo, Max Puig, Julian Serulle, Guillermo Moreno, Eduardo Estrella, Jose Miguel Soto Jimenez, and will end with Danilo Medina at 3:30 in the afternoon. The signers of the agreement are making a commitment to respect Law 66-97 and to do whatever possible to guarantee that 4% of the GDP is spent on education and that these funds are used correctly.
