The names of 47 Dominicans, including several women, who died in the Al Qaeda terrorist attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center on 11 September 2001, will be included in the National Museum and Memorial that will be inaugurated on Monday 12 September. El Nuevo Diario reports the men and women were computer specialists, IT personnel, financial managers, restaurant employees, messengers, educators and even tourists. One of the most mentioned names is Pedro Checo, the vice-president of operations for the Fiduciary Trust and a lover of fast cars. He died trying to save others that day. Faustino Apostol, a 55-year old firefighter of Battalion 2, died in the towers while saving lives. He had served in the NYFD for 28 years. Victoria Alvares Brito, who worked in the finance department of Marsh & McLennan, and David Agnez who was an assistant to the vice-president of Cantor Fitzgerald and Frank Thomas Aquilino, one of the rising stars at Cantor Fitzgerald, a partner at 26 and a vice-president. There are many other names on the list, and each one has its own life story.
