GlobeX (Global Exchange Program), organized by AIESEC, the international platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential, officially opens its applications to all the students or recent university graduates from all around the country from 12 September 2011.
AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to experience living in a country like India, Turkey, Russia, China, Mexico, Romania or one of another 100+ countries for at least six weeks. The program stresses that participants have the chance to experience the best times of their lives, meet new people, visit new places while carrying out a meaningful issue-based or professional internship.
"Globex Program is based on the idea of internationalism, cultural exchange between young people from all over the world, who will interact and certainly will contribute to reduce cultural barriers and stereotypes created over millennia", says Olga Cegorean, national coordinator for the Globex program in the Dominican Republic. She said that the program seeks to develop global leaders thinking.
Currently over 25 Dominican students are on internships in Belgium, India, Panama and Brazil.
