Ruling PLD party presidential candidate Danilo Medina swore in his National Campaign Committee yesterday. He urged the members to be humble and reach out to voters and listen to their complaints. "We cannot lose," he stated. Medina said that in this phase they would go from house by house and reach out to people on the streets. The campaign coordinator is Tourism Minister Francisco Javier Garcia, the deputy coordinators are former Tourism Minister Felix Jimenez (Felucho), who is in charge of supervising the National District and Province of Santo Domingo; former Environment Minister Jaime David Fernandez Mirabal, in charge of the eastern region; Public Health Minister Bautista Rojas Gomez, in charge of the northern region and former EdeSur general manager Ruben Bichara for the south.
Economy & Planning Minister Temistocles Montas is in charge of coordinating the Strategy Commission for the campaign and the president of the Public School Teachers Association, Radhames Camacho, is responsible for the operational department.
