The most recent Consumer Price Index report released by the Central Bank indicates that inflation in August was 0.50%. Accumulated inflation for the first eight months of the year is now at 7.28% and annualized inflation, measured from August 2010 to August 2011, is at 10.18%.

The Central Bank says that the rise reflects seasonal increases in school tuition. The Central Bank says that the education indicators were responsible for 26.82% of the increase. Food prices have also gone up.
