The president of the National Association of Private Clinics (Andeclip), Rafael Mena, has described the publication of news items that said that the association would suspend service to the affiliates of different Health Risk Administrators (ARS) as pure speculation, as reported in Diario Libre. He said the media had reported that Andeclip would suspend services because the National Social Security Council had not fulfilled an agreement to adjust the fees for inflation.

Mena says, moreover, that they will not penalize, for now, any of the ARS because their decision is to continue to fight so that their demands were heard by the authorities. "We will continue the fight for as long as necessary in order to reach our objectives," added the Andeclip president. During a press conference, Mena said that the agreement that they want to reach with the ARS is the payment for their services on time, but that they still have not been asked to meet in order to discuss the needs and they hope that this is done quickly. He said that the doctors would continue to provide services to all patients. The decision to not suspend service was announced by Mena after an assembly held by Andeclip last night.
