Fernandez approves 3% for education

Hacienda and Economy ministers Daniel Toribio and Temistocles Montas announced yesterday that the Fernandez government has approved a RD$430 billion budget for 2012, which is RD$39.5 billion greater than the 2011 budget. The budget assigns RD$66.7 billion to education, or about 3% of the GDP. This year's government education sector budget, without supplementary funds, is RD$45.9 billion.
