Police arrest two Haitians for killing Frenchman

The National Police arrested two Haitians yesterday for the gruesome slaying of a Frenchman who lived in Las Terrenas. According to El Nuevo Diario the Police found the victim's motorcycle and several other items that belonged to Jerone Veste Pass who lived in La Playa section of the beach community. The two who were arrested, Madeline Charles and Samuel Minius (22 and 24 years old) have admitted the killing. Another man known as Julio is also being sought in connection with the case. The Police seized the large red Suzuki motorcycle in a workshop in the El Cacao barrio, where they arrested Charles. After an intense pursuit Minius, a Haitian national, was arrested in the La Yagua sector of Gaspar Hernandez. Minius was shot in both legs. When he was arrested he was in possession of a backpack that belonged to the deceased, containing a yellow chain, a passport and clothing belonging to the victim. Both admitted their part in the crime and said that a computer that belonged to the Frenchman was in the possession of Julio, who also took part in the brutal murder.
