39-year old Manny Ramirez has plans to play ball in the Dominican Republic's Professional Winter Baseball Championship that opens mid-October. A former World Series Most Valuable Player, Ramirez retired from MLB in April. Hoy reports that Manny Ramirez spoke with the president and general manager of the Aguilas, Winston Llenas and manager Felix Fermin yesterday to confirm that he is arriving on Sunday 25 September to join the practice sessions on Monday, as reported in Hoy.
