Sports caps to ship cocaine

A shipment of 46 boxes of sports caps laced with cocaine was discovered at the Multimodal Port Caucedo, the newest in a long string of creative ways to smuggle cocaine, as reported in El Dia. The National Drug Control Department (DNCD) said the cocaine was seized on 22 September in collaboration with Navy and Specialized Port Security Corps agents, DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebron revealed. The caps were in a container that had been held at the Port since 30 August for investigation. The caps would have been shipped to Montreal. The shipment was made by the company identified as Alfatex Group, lcoated on 55 Lope de Vega in Santo Domingo. They were consigned to Play-Fair, at Chabanel 111 Street in Montreal.
