It's time for merengue in Puerto Plata with the celebration of the Festival del Merengue Puerto Plata on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the La Puntilla area of the Malecon. Eddy Herrera, Juliana, Banda Libre and Angie will take the stage on Friday. On Saturday, it's time for Miriam Cruz, Rubby Perez, La India Canela and Brugal Orchestra. The Sunday closing is with Johnny Ventura, Dioni Fernandez and El Equipo. The MCs for the evenings are Brenda Sanchez, Joel Lopez, Carolin Aquino, Wilson Sued, Roberto del Castillo and Frank Cabrera.
