The United States Department of Energy's National Security Administration has donated radiation detection equipment for use at the Multimodal Caucedo Port. The equipment was delivered to the port during a ceremony headed by US Ambassador Raul Yzaguirre. Customs director Rafael Camilo received the security equipment, which will be used to detect smuggling of radioactive and nuclear materials in freight and to ensure they are not exported to US territory, on behalf of the Dominican government.
