Dominicans are on the rosters of the New York Yankees (7), Detroit Tigers, champions of the Central Division of the American League (6), Texas Rangers (4), Philadelphia Phillies (4), St. Louis Cardinals (3), Tampa Bay Rays (2) and Milwaukee Brewers (1). The only team without Dominicans on their roster is the Arizona Diamondbacks, the National League West champs.

The Yankees (American League East champions): second baseman Robinson Cano (.302-28-118 with 46 doubles and 104 runs scored), third baseman Alex Rodriguez (.276-16-62) and the utility Eduardo Nunez (.265-5-30 with 22 stolen bases). Pitchers Ivan Nova (16-4, 3.70), Bartolo Colon (8 - 10, 4.00) and Rafael Soriano (2 - 3, 4.12 with two saves), Hector Noesi.

Tigers: shortstop Johnny Peralta (.299-21-86), third baseman Wilson Betemit (.285-8-46) and infielder Ramon Santiago (.260-5-30). Jose Valverde (2-4, 2.24 with 49 saves) is the closer star, backed by Joaquin Benoit (4-3, 2.95, two saves) and Alberto Alburquerque (6 - 1, 1.87).

Texas Rangers (the Western Division champion): third baseman Adrian Beltre (.296-32-105), outfielder Nelson Cruz (.263-29-87), pitcher Alexi Ogando (13-8, 3.51) and closer Neftali Feliz (2-3, 2.74, 32 saves).

Tampa Bay Rays: relievers Joel Peralta (3-4, 2.93 with six saves) and Juan Cruz (5-0, 3.88).

Philadelphia Phillies (champions of the National League East): third baseman Placido Polanco (.277-5-50), utilities Wilson Valdez (.249-1-30) and Michael Martinez (.196-3-24) and reliever Antonio Bastardo (6-1, 2.64 with eight saves).

St. Louis Cardinals (winners of the wild-card): first baseman Albert Pujols (.299-37-99), shortstop Rafael Furcal (.255-7-16) and reliever Octavio Dotel (3-3, 3.28 with two saves).

Milwaukee Brewers (winners of the Central Division): Carlos Gomez (.225-8-24 with 16 stolen bases).
