The Bellapart Museum in Santo Domingo is holding an exhibition of 127 works by Dominican and international artists with a focus on women. The curator of the exhibition is museum director Paula Gomez and art critic Myrna Guerrero was responsible for the exhibition catalogue. The exhibition seeks to present the roles and facets of women in art from the 19th Century till the beginning of the present century. It is dedicated to the memory of writer/historian Maria Ugarte.
