On the occasion of the celebration of its 40th anniversary in November, Edmond Elias has announced that the Maunaloa Night Club in Santo Domingo would be expanded and remodeled in time for next year. He said that halls would be built to accommodate meetings and events for 15 to 700 people. He said the parking area would be refurbished for events attended by up to 16,000 people. He said the venue would be equipped with a hydraulic stage so that it could be converted into a large dance hall at the end of the shows.
