Alberto Ulloa and Nereyda Rodriguez die

Two cultural exponents, painter Alberto Ulloa and folklorist Nereyda Rodriguez coincidentally passed away at the Plaza de la Salud over the weekend. 61-year old Ulloa died of a pulmonary edema, and 79-year old Rodriguez of complications of intestinal bleeding. Ulloa had won first place at the 14th Visual Arts Biennial and was the winner of the Adaja Award in Avila, Spain. Rodriguez was known for her work at the helm of the Fundacion Teatro Popular Danzante, a major folkloric dance promotion group.
