The PRD has formally requested that the president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), Roberto Rosario, and the other judges, hold a meeting to explain the situation affecting the JCE computer department and the steps that they plan to take in order to bring things back to normal. The document was delivered to the secretary general of the JCE by PRD secretary general Orlando Jorge Mera, campaign team chief Cesar Cedeno, interim president Andres Bautista, and Hector Guzman, Mario Torres and Salvador Ramos. The letter is signed by the party president, Miguel Vargas Maldonado, Orlando Jorge Mera and Andres Bautista.

Jorge Mera stressed that the top leadership of the PRD appeared before the JCE because things have occurred that could disrupt the election process and that in the party they "are extremely worried" about the resignation of the Administrator General of the Information Technology Department, Miguel Angel Garcia.

"The Board has not given any explanation for the reasons for this resignation. Nor has it convened the delegates of the political parties for this," he said, while suggesting that the JCE has adopted a series of measures without consulting with the parties and that affect the work schedule for the elections. He asked the election agency to get back on the road of legitimacy and transparency and return the balance to the problem that worries all Dominicans. Political scientists Cesar Perez and Antinoe Fiallo suggested that the JCE should remove the troublemaker who is the director of Computers, Franklin Frias, echoing Judge Eddy Olivares' suggestion.
