A low-pressure ridge over eastern Cuba and humidity caused by winds from the east/southeast will bring rain showers for the next 24 to 48 hours, according to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet). A tropical wave located over the Leeward Islands will also affect the weather here as it moves westward. These rains will probably start on Wednesday, according to the Onamet forecast, and most are expected to fall on the southwest, the central mountains and the border region.
